Unlike the Track Edition, it incorporates AWE’s 180 Technology to reduce drone at cruising speeds, producing a deeper, more refined tone under throttle without excessive cabin resonance. The included front pipe ensures a less restrictive path from the turbo, complementing the rear section for smoother airflow and improved response. The triple diamond black tips provide a distinctive, darker rear finish, and the system is designed around OEM mounting points and clearances for straightforward installation and proper alignment.

What is 180 Technology?

• AWE Tuning’s patented 180 Technology operates like this: As exhaust gases leave the engine and enter a resonator equipped with 180 Technology, they flow through strategically positioned ports into reflection chambers. The sound waves carried by the exhaust bounce off the chamber walls. Depending on the acoustic needs of each vehicle, AWE’s engineers precisely adjust the size and placement of the ports and chambers. This control dictates when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow, creating a 180-degree out-of-phase wave that cancels unwanted frequencies.

Exhaust Tips

• Each exhaust system includes three 4.5-inch double-walled, slash-cut tips in either chrome silver or diamond black, each adorned with a stamped AWE logo. The tips are individually adjustable, letting you customize how far they extend into the bumper to match your preference.

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• During research and development, AWE carefully analyzed the factory valve’s behavior across a variety of driving conditions. They found that the volume does not change significantly between modes that use the valve. The valve stays closed only in Comfort mode, opening once a specific throttle threshold is reached. In Sport and Sport+ modes, it remains open, with Sport+ adding ECU-controlled burbles. In the stock setup, exhaust flows through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to minimize cabin noise and reduce drone-prone frequencies, and through the center path when the valve is open.
