Without resonators or drone-canceling elements, the Track Edition delivers a more direct, pronounced tone under throttle, highlighting the naturally aspirated V8 or hybrid powertrain’s response. The system mounts to factory locations for a seamless installation and preserves throttle feel and performance, offering a rawer, more immersive driving experience for owners who prioritize an unfiltered exhaust note over subdued daily drivability.

Track Edition Exhaust

• For those who prefer a louder, more uninhibited exhaust, the Track Edition delivers. It retains the integrated frontpipe, custom midpipe resonator, and precise engineering of the Touring Edition but removes AWE’s 180 Technology® drone-canceling system. The rear section features a straight-through Track Edition piece instead of the 180 resonator, producing a bold, energetic tone that is especially pronounced during mid-range acceleration and deceleration—decidedly not subtle and not for the faint of heart.

What is 180 Technology?

• AWE Tuning’s 180 Technology directs exhaust gases through a resonator with strategically placed ports and reflection chambers. As the sound waves travel, they reflect and interact within the chambers, with port sizes and placements precisely tuned to the acoustics of each specific vehicle. This causes the reflected waves to merge back into the main exhaust stream out of phase, canceling unwanted frequencies. Unlike one-size-fits-all solutions, each 180 Technology resonator is engineered for the individual car, delivering consistent, refined sound. The result is a clean, balanced exhaust tone that eliminates harsh or intrusive frequencies while maintaining the system’s full performance and character.

Exhaust Tips

• Each exhaust system comes with three 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black, each engraved with the AWE logo. The tips are individually adjustable, letting you set their extension from the bumper to match your preference.

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• During development, AWE closely examined the factory exhaust valve across different driving conditions. They found that the valve only noticeably alters volume in Comfort mode, staying closed until a set throttle point is reached. In Sport and Sport+ modes, the valve remains open, with Sport+ introducing ECU-controlled burble effects. In the stock setup, exhaust flows through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to minimize cabin noise and reduce drone-prone frequencies, while opening the valve directs flow through the center section.

Conversion Kits

• AWE designed the system for easy conversion between Track and Touring Editions, allowing cabin sound levels to be adjusted at any time.
