The quad diamond black tips add a darker, more purposeful finish at the rear while maintaining proper fitment within the factory valance. Built from T304L stainless steel and engineered as a direct bolt-on system, it integrates cleanly with the car’s layout while prioritizing sound and flow over cabin refinement, making it better suited for drivers who are comfortable with increased volume in everyday driving.

Track Edition Exhaust

• Shares the same custom engineering as the Touring Edition but omits 180 Technology®, reducing weight by over 39 lbs compared to the standard system.
• Replaces the 180 Technology® resonators with straight pipe sections, producing louder mid-range acceleration and deceleration tones, as well as increased cabin noise in V4 mode.
• Due to its design, the Track Edition’s sound characteristics cannot be altered or swapped based on preference; this should be considered before selection.

What is 180 Technology?

• AWE Tuning’s patented 180 Technology® uses resonators to target and cancel specific unwanted exhaust frequencies.
• Exhaust gases flow into the resonator and pass through strategically positioned ports into reflection chambers, where sound waves bounce off the walls.
• Engineers adjust the size and placement of the ports and chambers to control when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow.
• Properly timed, the reflected waves are 180 degrees out of phase with the original sound, effectively canceling drone and other disruptive frequencies.
• Each system is tailored to the acoustic characteristics of the specific vehicle rather than using a universal design, ensuring consistent results.
• The outcome is a clean, defined exhaust note that preserves engine character while removing undesirable tones, maintaining performance and clarity in every setup.

Exhaust Tips

• Each exhaust system includes three 4.5-inch double-walled, slash-cut tips in either chrome silver or diamond black, each stamped with the AWE logo, and the tips can be individually adjusted to set their projection from the bumper for a precise, tailored fit.

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• During development, AWE thoroughly analyzed the factory exhaust valve across a range of driving conditions and found no meaningful change in overall volume between modes, with the valve remaining closed only in Comfort mode and opening once a throttle threshold is reached; in Sport and Sport+ it stays open, with Sport+ adding ECU-controlled burbles, and in the stock configuration, exhaust flows through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to reduce cabin volume and minimize drone, and through the center section when open for a more direct path.

Conversion Kits

• AWE designed the system for easy conversion between Track and Touring Editions, allowing interior sound levels to be adjusted whenever needed.
