• The AWE Track Edition shares the same bespoke design and precision engineering as the Touring Edition but replaces the 180 Technology resonators with straight pipe sections, shedding 39lbs over stock in the process. The trade-off is a rawer, louder character, particularly through mid-range acceleration and deceleration, and V4 mode becomes noticeably more present in the cabin. It’s the choice for drivers who want the exhaust unfiltered and don’t mind the extra volume that comes with it.

What is 180 Technology?

• As exhaust gases exit the engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology-equipped resonator, they pass through strategically placed ports and into reflection chambers. Sound waves travel with those gases and bounce off the chamber walls, and AWE acoustic engineers size and position each port and chamber based on the sound targets for that specific vehicle. Those dimensions control exactly when the reflected waves exit the chambers and feed back into the main exhaust flow. Get that timing right, and the returning wave runs 180 degrees out of phase with the unwanted frequencies, canceling them out before they reach the cabin.
