The AWE Track Edition Exhaust for the C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C8 is designed for a more direct, unfiltered exhaust experience by removing the Touring Edition’s sound-canceling elements and using straight-through sections in their place. This allows the 6.2L LT2 V8 to come through with greater volume and a sharper, more aggressive tone, especially noticeable during cold starts, wide-open throttle, and rapid gear changes. The quad diamond black tips add a darker, more purposeful finish at the rear while maintaining proper fitment within the factory valance. Built from T304L stainless steel and engineered as a direct bolt-on system, it integrates cleanly with the car’s layout while prioritizing sound and flow over cabin refinement, making it better suited for drivers who are comfortable with increased volume in everyday driving.

Track Edition Exhaust

• Those who seek a raw, rowdy and light experience, the AWE Track Edition is designed to meet their needs. This edition shares the same custom design and engineering as the Touring Edition, but without the 180 Technology® which reduces weight by over 39 lbs compared to the standard version.
• Instead of the 180 Technology® resonators, Track Edition straight pipe sections are present. This results in more voluminous noise during mid-range acceleration and deceleration, and increased interior noise during V4 mode.
• Because of this, AWE Track Edition Exhausts cannot be exchanged because of sound preference. Please take note.

What is 180 Technology?

• AWE Tuning’s patented 180 Technology works as follows: As exhaust gases exit the engine and flow into a resonator equipped with AWE’s 180 Technology, they pass through strategically located ports and into reflection chambers. Sound waves carried by these exhaust gases bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. Depending on the sound requirements of each vehicle, AWE’s acoustic engineers adjust the size and location of the ports and chambers. By controlling these key elements, AWE Tuning can manage when the sound waves exit the chambers. The precise timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.

Exhaust Tips

• Each exhaust system is equipped with three 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips, available in chrome silver or diamond black, each featuring a stamped AWE logo. The tips are individually adjustable, allowing for customization of their depth into the bumper based on personal preference.

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• During research and development, AWE conducted an extensive evaluation of the factory valve’s behavior under various driving conditions. They determined that there is no significant change in volume between modes requiring a valve. The valve remains closed only in comfort mode, opening upon reaching a throttle threshold. In Sport and Sport+ modes, the valve stays open, with Sport+ introducing burbles from the ECU. In the stock configuration, the exhaust routes through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to reduce interior volume and drone-prone frequencies, and through the center when the valve is open.

Conversion Kits

• AWE has made it simple to convert between Track and Touring Editions if a change in interior volume is desired later.
