The AWE Touring Edition Exhaust for the C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C8 is built for drivers who want a more defined exhaust note without the constant drone that can come with freer-flowing systems. It uses AWE’s 180 Technology® resonators to manage low-frequency cabin noise while still allowing the 6.2L LT2 V8 to sound fuller and more present under throttle. The quad chrome silver tips fill out the rear valance cleanly and match the car’s factory lines without looking oversized or out of place. Constructed from T304L stainless steel, the system is designed as a direct bolt-on, retaining compatibility with the Corvette’s factory valve system if equipped. Touring Edition Exhaust

• The Touring Edition Exhaust unites both sophistication and force. Constructed with a double 3-inch T304L stainless steel cat-back arrangement, it offers the abilities of a straight-pipe system while still allowing a comfortable day-to-day ride. You’ll hear a refined, dynamic noise reminiscent of luxurious cars with no drone at fast speeds, as well as activating V4 mode.
• By taking an asymmetrical design approach, AWE was able to reduce the amount of bends, increasing the fluidity of the system and resulting in power gains throughout the powerband. Moreover, reinforced, internally-lined stainless steel flex sections isolate engine movement, ensuring life-long reliability. Additionally, AWE uniquely designed a crossover section of the LT2 to gain an authoritative sound regardless of idle, revving or at full throttle.
• Completely changing the tone of the exhaust, AWE’s patented 180 Technology® is included in the Touring Edition to greatly reduce in-cabin drone that would normally occur when switching between V4 and V8 engine modes. • When the exhaust gases leave the LT2 engine and enter the resonator outfitted with AWE 180 Technology®, they are directed through particular ports into reflection chambers. The noise generated by the gases as they travel is reverberated against the walls of the chambers. By ensuring the size and position of the ports and chambers is specifically regulated, the sound waves are permitted to exit the chambers with exact timing for the creation of a 180-degree out-of-phase sound wave that eliminates any unwanted frequencies.
• The aluminum heat shield comes with the kit, and attaches to the bumper at the factory mounting locations. The shield is placed behind the exhaust, so that only the AWE logo can be seen through the back mesh, displaying to anyone watching what side you’re on.
• Why did they opt to use aluminum instead of a heat blanket? Heat blankets tend to get waterlogged and deteriorate quickly, whereas aluminum is a long-lasting option for the headshield.

Exhaust Tips

• Each exhaust system is equipped with three 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips, available in chrome silver or diamond black, each featuring a stamped AWE logo. The tips are individually adjustable, allowing for customization of their depth into the bumper based on personal preference.

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• During research and development, AWE conducted an extensive evaluation of the factory valve’s behavior under various driving conditions. They determined that there is no significant change in volume between modes requiring a valve. The valve remains closed only in comfort mode, opening upon reaching a throttle threshold. In Sport and Sport+ modes, the valve stays open, with Sport+ introducing burbles from the ECU. In the stock configuration, the exhaust routes through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to reduce interior volume and drone-prone frequencies, and through the center when the valve is open.

Conversion Kits

• AWE has made it simple to convert between Track and Touring Editions if a change in interior volume is desired later.
