The AWE Tuning Touring Edition Exhaust with Front Pipe and Dual Chrome Silver Tips is designed, engineered, and manufactured in-house at AWE in the USA, handcrafted from 3″ CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel with .065″ wall thickness sourced domestically. The clean, straight-through design keeps airflow unrestricted, and the system installs as a direct bolt-on with no cutting or modification needed. The modular tip design is worth noting; it allows easy interchangeability between dual and tri tip configurations, so the look of the rear of the car can be changed without swapping the whole system. The bespoke stamped stainless steel trident tip merge ties the rear end together, and max gains come in at 6 hp and 1 ft-lb of torque at the wheels.

Touring Edition Exhaust

• The Touring Edition is a full 3″ downpipe-back system built from T304L stainless steel, combining an integrated front pipe and a custom mid pipe resonator with AWE’s patented 180 Technology® to produce a deep, full-bodied L15 tone that stays completely free of drone at highway speeds. Get into boost and the exhaust note builds with the engine; settle into a cruise and the cabin stays composed. It’s a straight-through design that handles both ends of the driving experience without asking you to compromise on either one.

What is 180 Technology?

• Exhaust gases carry sound waves through the system, and those waves reflect off the walls of the chambers as they pass through. AWE’s acoustic engineers work out the size and placement of the ports and chambers based on the specific sound targets for each vehicle, and those choices determine exactly when the reflected waves cycle back into the main exhaust stream. That re-entry timing is the mechanism behind the whole thing; it produces a sound wave running 180 degrees out of phase with the unwanted frequencies, and they get canceled out before the exhaust reaches the tips.
