The AWE Non-Resonated Touring Edition Exhaust for the A90/A91 Toyota GR Supra uses a 3-inch T304L stainless steel cat-back layout designed around AWE’s 180 Technology® rear section, which helps control unwanted frequencies and limit cabin drone. Compared to the resonated version, this configuration removes the mid-pipe resonator, giving the B58 a slightly louder and sharper tone while still keeping the sound controlled during steady cruising. The straight-through construction maintains consistent exhaust flow and preserves turbo response without unnecessary restriction. It finishes with 5-inch Diamond Black tips that sit cleanly in the Supra’s rear valance and complement the darker trim found on many GR Supra builds.

Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, AWE can also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies. What is 180 Technology?

Exhaust Tips

• Each exhaust system is equipped with three 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips, available in chrome silver or diamond black, each featuring a stamped AWE logo. The tips are individually adjustable, allowing for customization of their depth into the bumper based on personal preference.

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• During research and development, AWE conducted an extensive evaluation of the factory valve’s behavior under various driving conditions. They determined that there is no significant change in volume between modes requiring a valve. The valve remains closed only in comfort mode, opening upon reaching a throttle threshold. In Sport and Sport+ modes, the valve stays open, with Sport+ introducing burbles from the ECU. In the stock configuration, the exhaust routes through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to reduce interior volume and drone-prone frequencies, and through the center when the valve is open.
