Made in the USA from T304L stainless steel, the Touring Edition puts AWE’s patented 180 Technology to work, keeping things smooth and drone-free at highway speeds while still opening up with an aggressive tone when you push the throttle, finished here with 90mm diamond black tips.

What is 180 Technology?

AWE’s acoustic engineers set the size and position of each port and chamber based on the sound targets for that specific vehicle. Sound waves travel with the exhaust gases, bounce off the chamber walls, and feed back into the main flow at a precisely controlled point. That timing is what matters; when it’s right, the returning wave runs 180 degrees out of phase with the unwanted frequencies and cancels them out before they leave the system.

The Touring Edition is AWE’s drone-free choice for the platform, using 180 Technology resonators to cancel the drone-prone frequencies. AWE notes the S-tronic transmission causes slight droning even on the stock exhaust, so for the cleanest result on an automatic S4, AWE recommends pairing the Touring catback with resonated downpipes; that combination is AWE’s only money-back drone-free guarantee. On a 6-speed manual with stock downpipes, owners report far less drone and a composed daily experience with a strong tone at wide-open throttle.
What is the difference between the AWE B8 S4 touring exhaust and the Track Edition? Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest.
