Does this APR GTC-500 Adjustable Wing for C8 fit the coupe?

No. This GTC-500 Adjustable Wing for C8 Corvette models is the convertible version, for the Z06, E-Ray, Grand Sport and ZR1 with the folding hardtop. APR sells the widebody coupe wing as a separate part, and Bulletproof Automotive lists it separately, so check the body style of the car before ordering.

What does the spoiler delete in this version do?

This version ships with an APR carbon fiber spoiler delete that takes the place of the factory rear spoiler. With the stock spoiler gone, the GTC-500 sits above a clean rear deck, and the carbon panel matches the airfoil and side plates instead of leaving painted factory trim beneath the wing.

How long does APR take to build the GTC-500 wing?

APR builds the GTC-500 to order and quotes a normal lead time of two to three weeks. Bulletproof Automotive confirms the current build time with APR once the order is placed, since demand can stretch it, and shares tracking when the wing ships.

Can the angle of the GTC-500 be adjusted?

Yes. The angle of attack adjusts from 0 to 15 degrees on the billet aluminum risers. Higher angles add downforce for braking and cornering on tight circuits, while lower angles cut drag for long straights and highway driving, so the wing can be set for the track day and backed off for the drive home.

What is the paint protection film option?

Choosing Yes adds paint protection film that APR applies to the wing before it ships. The film covers the wing only, not the spoiler delete or other parts, and it helps guard the clear-coated carbon against stone chips and light abrasion, which matters on a part that sits in the airflow behind the rear tires.

Description

APR Performance Carbon GTC-500 Adjustable Wing for C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, E-Ray, Grand Sport and ZR1 (convertible, with spoiler delete)

APR Performance’s Carbon GTC-500 Adjustable Wing for C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, E-Ray, Grand Sport and ZR1 convertibles is the largest wing in APR’s GTC family, cut to a 74 inch span for the widebody car. This version comes with APR’s carbon fiber spoiler delete in place of the factory rear spoiler, so the wing rises from a clean deck rather than over the stock lip. The airfoil was shaped in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), APR quotes an 8.88 to 1 downforce-to-drag ratio, and the angle of attack adjusts across 15 degrees. Built to order in Chino, California, it suits owners who take the convertible on track, not those chasing a look alone.

Design and Performance

The cambered airfoil builds a pressure difference between its upper and lower surfaces while keeping the flow attached at high speed. Setting a steeper angle loads the rear tires for braking and fast corners; flattening it trims drag for long straights. The wing stands on angle-adjustable risers machined from 10mm 6061 billet aluminum.

Features

CFD-developed cambered airfoil
Pre-preg woven carbon fiber, autoclave cured in aluminum billet molds
Adjustable angle of attack for track-specific setups
Carbon fiber spoiler delete supplied in place of the factory spoiler
Vehicle-specific carbon fiber bottom plates
Optional paint protection film on the wing

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
