Does the APR Engine Plenum Cover for C7 include the Stingray lettering?

No. APR supplies the Engine Plenum Cover for C7 Stingray models without the Stingray script, so the lettering on the factory cover is not part of the carbon piece. Check the factory cover before ordering if the script matters to the look of the engine bay.

Will it fit the C7 Z06 or ZR1?

No. This cover is molded for the top of the 6.2L LT1 V8 in the C7 Stingray. The Z06 and ZR1 use supercharged engines with a different top end, so the part does not line up on those cars. Grand Sport owners should confirm fitment with the Bulletproof Automotive team before ordering.

Is this the complete APR engine cover package?

No. This listing is the plenum cover on its own. APR also sells carbon fuel rail covers for the C7 Stingray, and the two together make up the APR engine cover package, which is listed separately for owners who want the full set.

Does the plenum cover add performance?

No. It is a dress-up part that puts real carbon on the most visible surface of the LT1 when the hood is open. It does not change airflow, power or cooling, and it is chosen for the way the engine bay looks when the Corvette is parked with the hood up.

How durable is the finish?

APR finishes each cover in a UV-stable production clear coat and hand-polishes it to a gloss shine. The clear coat resists fading and yellowing from sunlight, which matters on a C7 that spends show days parked in the sun with the hood open.

Description

APR Performance Carbon Engine Plenum Cover for C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

APR Performance’s carbon Engine Plenum Cover for C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray dresses the 6.2L LT1 V8 in molded pre-preg carbon fiber, the centerpiece of the engine bay every time the hood goes up. APR vacuum-bags each cover and cures it in an autoclave at high temperature, then finishes it in a UV-stable clear coat that is polished by hand. It is a cosmetic part and makes no claim to more power; what it gives the owner is a factory-fit carbon finish on the part of the LT1 that draws the eye at every show and meet.

Why Pre-Preg Carbon

Pre-preg carbon arrives with its resin already measured into the weave, so the finished cover carries no excess resin and holds its molded shape precisely. That is why APR can build the cover to the factory dimensions of the LT1 plenum and expect it to sit cleanly in place.

About APR Performance

APR Performance has built aerodynamic components for road racing, time attack, and street performance since 1999, working from the same wind tunnel and CFD-driven process across every product line. The company designs and manufactures its own carbon fiber wings, splitters, diffusers, and canards in-house, using pre-preg materials and autoclave curing rather than outsourced wet-layup production, which is why APR parts carry SCCA and other sanctioning body approvals across multiple race classes. From early Honda and Mitsubishi platforms to current Porsche, BMW, and Corvette applications, APR’s approach has stayed the same; every component has to earn its place through measurable aerodynamic gain, not just visual styling.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
