APR Performance Carbon GTC-300 61″ Adjustable Wing for VA Subaru WRX STI

The APR 61 inch GTC-300 wing is the compact-span version of APR’s GTC-300 for the 2015-2021 VA Subaru WRX STI. At 61″ across, it sits closer to the STI’s trunk and body lines than the 67″ version while using the same CFD-developed airfoil, the same 0 to 15 degree adjustment range, and the same 8.8 to 1 downforce-to-drag ratio. That makes it a good fit for owners who want real rear downforce for track days and spirited driving with a tighter, more integrated look on the street. Carbon mounting bases shaped for the STI cover the holes left by the factory wing.

Same GTC-300 Airfoil in a Compact Span

The GTC-300 profile is cambered to build a strong pressure difference between its upper and lower surfaces, and APR refined it in computational fluid dynamics to keep airflow attached at speed. The 61″ (1549mm) span carries a chord that varies from 10″ to 12″, delivering meaningful rear grip in corners and under braking without adding much drag on the straights. For more total wing area, APR also offers the 67″ GTC-300 for the VA STI.

Tunable From Street to Track

Adjustable 10mm 6061 billet aluminum risers, finished in matte black powder coat, set the angle of attack anywhere from 0 to 15 degrees. A flatter setting keeps drag low for highway driving and fast circuits, while a steeper setting loads the rear tires for tight, technical tracks. The risers also allow height and position changes, so the wing can be matched to the rest of the car’s aero.

Autoclave-Cured Carbon Construction

Each airfoil is laid up from pre-preg woven carbon fiber and cured in an autoclave inside aluminum billet molds. Curing under heat and pressure gives the wing the density and stiffness to resist flexing under aero load, so its profile, and the downforce it makes, stays consistent lap after lap while keeping weight off the back of the car.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I choose the 61″ or the 67″ wing? Both use the same GTC-300 airfoil and adjustment range. The 61″ keeps the wing tighter to the STI’s body for a more compact look, while the 67″ version reaches wider for more total wing area.
Which years of STI does it fit? Every VA WRX STI from 2015 to 2021. It does not fit the regular, non-STI VA WRX.
What happens to the factory wing holes? The vehicle-specific carbon mounting bases are shaped to cover the holes left when the factory STI wing comes off. Check the install instructions for final mounting details before starting.
How long does it take to ship? APR builds this wing to order, with a typical lead time of 1-2 weeks before it ships.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US.
