APR Performance Carbon GTC-300 67″ Adjustable Wing for VA Subaru WRX STI

The APR GTC-300 WRX STI wing is a 67″ carbon fiber adjustable wing made for the 2015-2021 VA Subaru WRX STI. It replaces the factory wing with a CFD-developed airfoil that adds rear downforce for cornering and braking stability without the drag penalty of a bigger race wing, which suits an STI that splits its time between the street and the track. The angle of attack adjusts from 0 to 15 degrees, so the same wing can run low for high-speed straights or steep for tight, technical circuits. Vehicle-specific carbon mounting bases sit over the factory wing holes, keeping the install clean on the STI’s trunk lid.

CFD-Developed GTC-300 Airfoil

APR shaped the GTC-300 airfoil with computational fluid dynamics, using a cambered profile that builds a strong pressure difference between the upper and lower surfaces while keeping airflow attached at speed. The result is an 8.8 to 1 downforce-to-drag ratio, giving the STI more rear grip through corners and under braking while giving up very little straight-line speed. The chord varies from 10″ to 12″ across the 67″ span.

Adjustable Angle of Attack

The wing mounts on adjustable 10mm 6061 billet aluminum risers finished in matte black powder coat. Setting a higher angle adds downforce and rear tire load for technical tracks, while a lower angle trims drag for faster circuits and street driving. Because the risers also allow height and position changes, the wing can be tuned to match the rest of the car’s aero setup.

Pre-Preg Carbon Fiber Construction

APR builds the airfoil from pre-preg woven carbon fiber, cured in an autoclave inside aluminum billet molds. That process gives the wing a high strength-to-weight ratio and the stiffness to hold its profile under heavy aero load, so it does not flex at speed and the downforce stays consistent from session to session.

Does this fit the 2018-2021 STI, or only the earlier cars? It fits every VA WRX STI from 2015 to 2021. APR lists one GTC-300 wing for the full VA STI run.
Will it fit a regular VA WRX? No. This version is for the STI only. APR builds a separate GTC-300 wing for the non-STI VA WRX.
Do I have to drill the trunk? The vehicle-specific carbon mounting bases are shaped to cover the holes left by the factory STI wing. Final mounting details should be confirmed with the install instructions before work starts.
How much can the wing be adjusted? The angle of attack adjusts from 0 to 15 degrees on the billet aluminum risers. Lower settings favor top speed, while higher settings add downforce for corners and braking.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest.
