This is a light weight dry carbon roof panel, designed and manufactured by Abflug for the Nissan GTR R35. With a race car impression, and a unique design as part of the Aloof 01-R ver 2 kit, this product has both form and function.

GT-R35 Dry Carbon Roof Panel The dry carbon roof panel is a carbon roof made by an autoclave method using carbon fibers equivalent to those used in the high-performance vehicle BMW M series. The specific gravity of carbon fiber is around 1.4kg and the tensile strength is equal to or higher than steel, so it is possible to make much lighter than steel with a specific gravity of 7.85kg. The dry carbon roof of this product has a tensile strength of 255 MPa or more by using five layers of carbon fiber and a plate thickness of 1.2 mm. The dry carbon roof produced in this process is 2.1kg compared to 7.0kg for the genuine panel, achieving a weight reduction of 4.9kg, while maintaining rigidity and safety equivalent to steel. With the installation of a dry carbon roof, the height of the center of gravity is lowered, and a positive effect on the moment of inertia of the roll can be expected.
