What hub does the Vandal Apex Round Steering Wheel need?

A hub with the 6x70mm PCD pattern, the six-bolt, 70mm circle used by a wide range of motorsport hubs and quick releases. The Vandal DSP and the Vandal Quick Release both take it directly. No hub is supplied with the wheel, so a vehicle-specific hub adapter is needed for any car that is not already running one of those.

What is Vandal V-Suede?

V-Suede is the grip material Vandal Performance wraps its Apex wheels in, chosen for its feel, consistency and durability. Vandal tested it extensively for resistance to wear and degradation so that it holds its appearance and feel through long-term street and track use. Normal wear of grip materials is not covered by the Vandal warranty.

Should I choose the round or the flat bottom Apex wheel?

Both share the 320mm diameter, V-Suede wrap, recessed thumb areas and 6x70mm PCD. The Apex Round Steering Wheel keeps a full circle, so the rim feels the same wherever the hands sit, while the flat bottom version trims the lower rim for more room at the bottom of the wheel. The choice comes down to seating position and personal preference.

Is the Apex wheel compatible with the Vandal DSP?

Yes. Vandal lists the DSP among the steering wheel systems the Apex wheels fit, on the shared 6x70mm mounting pattern. BA sells the DSP for the G8X and F8X BMW M2, M3 and M4 and the A90 Toyota GR Supra with an Apex wheel as an option, or without a wheel for owners who already have one.

What warranty does the Apex Round wheel carry?

Vandal Performance covers its steering wheels for 24 months from delivery against defects in materials and workmanship, when bought from Vandal or an authorized dealer. Normal wear of the grip material, scratches and other cosmetic wear are not covered, and neither is damage from a crash or impact.

Description

Vandal Performance Apex Round Steering Wheel 320mm (Universal Fit)

Vandal Performance’s Apex Round Steering Wheel 320mm is the full-circle partner to the Vandal DSP: a compact 320mm rim wrapped in Vandal’s own V-Suede, with recessed thumb areas and the universal 6x70mm PCD mounting pattern. Vandal shaped the traditional round profile for consistent hand positioning, and the unbroken circle keeps the rim the same wherever a hand lands on it. The V-Suede was tested by Vandal for resistance to wear and degradation, so the wheel keeps its feel through street and track use. It is a rim, not a factory-wheel replacement on its own: a hub, quick release or DSP is needed to mount it.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
