Compared with the FastRoad kit, Nitron pairs its hand-built, race-derived dampers with stiffer springs and firmer valving. The setup suits owners who do regular track days, sprints or club events and still drive the car to the venue. On track the Nitron VX220 NTR-R1 ClubSport cuts dive under hard braking and holds the car flatter through long, loaded corners. The VX220 stays planted when turbo torque arrives on corner exit. Its balance stays predictable as grip runs out, which gives you the confidence to commit to fast corners. One adjuster per corner sets bump and rebound together, so you can tune the setup for a fast, smooth circuit or a bumpy one between sessions. Mounting brackets come in the kit, supplied for your car’s drive side.

Unique Technology

The Nitron VX220 NTR-R1 ClubSport is a product of Nitron’s motorsport department, and it shares much of its internal hardware with the NTR-R3 damper that Nitron runs in international racing. The gas charge and oil volume are contained inside each damper body. The installation stays self-contained, with no canisters to mount and no hoses to snag on a curb strike. The dampers run inverted, which moves mass off the hub side of each corner and lets the tires follow track surface changes more closely. Internal friction is extremely low, so the Nitron VX220 NTR-R1 ClubSport starts controlling the wheel the moment it moves. On track, the car settles quickly after a curb and stays composed through fast direction changes, and the firmer springs can still absorb ripples without the car skipping sideways. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
