Track days show up the weak points in an S2 Exige’s suspension fast. The firmer you push, the less consistent it feels from lap to lap. The Nitron Exige NTR-R1 ClubSport kit is built for owners who spend real time at the circuit and still drive the car there. Compared with the FastRoad version, Nitron fits stiffer springs and firmer valving and sets the car up to run lower. The Nitron Exige NTR-R1 ClubSport keeps the S2 flatter and more predictable on track and gives the splitter and rear spoiler a steadier platform to work from at speed. Each corner has a single adjuster that sets bump and rebound together. A few clicks firmer for a smooth, fast circuit, or softer for a rough one or the drive home, takes seconds. Mounting brackets are included, supplied for your car’s drive side.

Unique Technology

The Nitron Exige NTR-R1 ClubSport comes out of Nitron’s racing program, and much of what’s inside each damper is shared with the NTR-R3 Nitron runs in international motorsport. Nitron keeps the gas charge and oil volume inside the damper body, so the kit installs without a remote canister. The dampers run inverted, which takes weight off the wheel side of each corner and lets the tires track ripples and curbs more closely. Nitron keeps internal friction very low, so the damper reacts right away instead of waiting for a large input. On track, that helps the Nitron Exige NTR-R1 hold the car steady as it loads up into a corner and recover cleanly after a curb strike. The same response stops the firmer ClubSport springs from feeling harsh on less-than-perfect surfaces. Damping doesn’t fade as the oil heats up, so the balance stays the same through a long session.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
