Do I still need the factory direct injectors?

Yes. The FA20 runs both port and direct injection, and this set only replaces the four port injectors. The direct injectors stay in place, and the tuner decides how fuel is split between the two systems. Large power FA20 builds add their extra fuel on the port side.

Is the ID2600-XDS Port Injector Set more than my FA20 needs?

Yes, for most cars. The ID2600-XDS Port Injector Set is meant for high boost FA20 engines on E85 or methanol, where fuel demand is greatest. A turbo or supercharged car on pump gasoline is usually better served by the 1300 or 1750 version of the same set, which leaves more pulse width at light load.

Is fitment confirmed for a 2022 or later GR86 or BRZ?

No. Injector Dynamics lists this code for the 2.0 liter FA20 cars, which are the FR-S, the 86 and the first generation BRZ. The 2.4 liter FA24 in the second generation cars is a different engine, so confirm fitment with Injector Dynamics before ordering for a newer car.

What tune changes are needed?

The port injector scaling, offset and short pulse data all change, and the tuner must also set the port and direct fuel split for the new capacity. Injector Dynamics publishes the 2600 characterization data, including a 605 microsecond offset at 43.5 psi and 12 volts, for the calibration.

Which race fuels can I use with these injectors?

That depends on the fuel. Injector Dynamics rates the ID2600-XDS for methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbon fuels, but not for ethers such as MTBE, ETBE or TAME, or for nitromethane. Check the race fuel data sheet for ether content before filling up.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS Port Injector Set for ZN6 Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 and ZC6 Subaru BRZ

Injector Dynamics’ ID2600-XDS Port Injector Set for ZN6 Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 and ZC6 Subaru BRZ is the largest of the FA20 port injector options, four 2600cc/min injectors that drop into the port locations while the factory direct injectors carry on. It is aimed at the FA20 running serious boost on E85 or methanol, where the direct injection system runs out of capacity and the port side has to supply most of the fuel. Most turbo or supercharged FA20 cars on pump gasoline will never use this much, and the ID1300-XDS or ID1750-XDS set is the better pick for them.

Configuration

Application code 18.04 identifies the FA20 port injector location. The 36 is the 36mm body and the 11 is the 11mm top, matched to the factory port bores.

Features

ID2600-XDS Port Injector Set matched as four with Dual Slope Matching
Corrosion-resistant internals from a design developed with Bosch Motorsport
Roughly half again the flow of the ID1700x, and the largest injector Bosch supplies

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol, all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 36mm
Top: 11mm

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS port injectors (x4)

Applications

Scion FR-S: ZN6 | 2013-2016 | 2.0L FA20
Subaru BRZ: ZC6 | 2013-2020 | 2.0L FA20
Toyota 86: ZN6 | 2017-2020 | 2.0L FA20

Notes

Fits the four port injector positions only; the factory direct injectors are not included and remain in use
Supplied for the 2.0L FA20; fitment on the 2.4L FA24 GR86 and second-generation BRZ is not confirmed
Electrical connection is USCAR; Injector Dynamics makes adapters for EV1, OBD2 Honda and 2012+ Honda plugs, sold separately, and Denso-wired engines use the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Recalibration of the engine management is mandatory, working from the Injector Dynamics data for the ID2600-XDS
The same cars are also covered by the ID1300-XDS Port Injector Set and the ID1750-XDS Port Injector Set

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
