Does this set fit the 2011 and newer tC?

Not confirmed. Injector Dynamics lists the 17.01 application for the 2005 to 2010 Scion tC with the 2.4 liter engine. The second generation car is not on its list for this code, so confirm fitment with Injector Dynamics or our team before ordering for a 2011 or later tC.

Is the ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set right for a supercharged tC on pump gas?

Yes, if the power target justifies it. The ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set flows about 1335cc per minute and keeps a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline, so it idles and cruises well on pump fuel. For a modest boost kit on gasoline, discuss the margin with your tuner, since much of the range may go unused.

Will these injectors handle an E85 conversion?

Yes. The ID1300-XDS is compatible with all known fuels and was designed with ethanol and methanol in mind. E85 needs roughly a third more fuel volume than gasoline, which is a common reason a boosted tC outgrows its factory injectors. Upgrade the pump to match and have the calibration built for the blend you will run.

What does my tuner need from Injector Dynamics?

The characterization data for the ID1300-XDS, which describes flow rate, offset against voltage and pressure, and short pulse behavior. Injector Dynamics publishes it, and entering it accurately is what allows an injector this large to idle and cruise as smoothly as a factory part.

Are these injectors plug and play?

Mechanically they fit fuel systems built for this body length and these seals. Electrically they use USCAR connectors, so USCAR wiring needs nothing more. Wiring with Denso, EV1 or Honda OBD2 plugs needs Injector Dynamics plug and play adapters, which are sold separately, and the Denso version is listed on our site.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set for 2005-2010 Scion tC 2.4L

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS Fuel Injector Set for the 2005-2010 Scion tC 2.4L supplies four 1335cc/min injectors with 60mm bodies and blue 11mm tops, built under the 17.01 application code for this engine. The first-generation tC left the factory without forced induction, so this set is for owners who have added a turbocharger or supercharger, or who plan to run E85. Injector Dynamics designed the 1300 for alternative fuels and kept a gasoline-friendly minimum fuel mass, which lets the car idle and cruise cleanly between hard runs. Left on a stock 2.4L, nearly all of that flow would sit unused.

Configuration

Read the part number as application 17.01 for the 2.4L tC, a 60mm body and an 11mm top, in a set of four. The same tC application is offered in the ID1750-XDS and ID2600-XDS flow classes for higher fuel demand.

Features

Four injectors coded 17.01 for the 2005-2010 Scion tC 2.4L
Compatible with all known fuels, with a design aimed at ethanol and methanol
Minimum fuel mass kept compatible with gasoline, for steady idle and cruise on pump fuel
Rated to 7.0 bar differential fuel pressure

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels; designed specifically for alternative fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 11mm (blue)

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with blue 11mm tops (x4)

Applications

Scion tC: 2005-2010 | 2.4L

Notes

The injectors use USCAR plugs; for factory Denso connectors add the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, while EV1 and OBD2 adapters are available from Injector Dynamics
Book the calibration with the install, because the ECU cannot run these injectors correctly on factory injector data
Also offered as the ID1750-XDS Fuel Injector Set for Scion tC 2.4L and ID2600-XDS Fuel Injector Set for Scion tC 2.4L for the same application

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
