What makes the R304 60RR Exhaust for EK9 cars different from the 60RS?

The R304 60RR Exhaust for EK9 cars is the circuit version. Its layout is designed for the lowest possible exhaust resistance and the most output and response, where the 60RS balances those gains against everyday street manners. Materials, the 60mm main pipe and the titanium tail are shared between the two systems.

Is it a good choice for a road-driven Type R?

No. The manufacturer built the RR purely around circuit performance and calls it a muffler made to win on track. For a car that spends most of its time on public roads, the 60RS in the same stainless range is the better pick and is priced only slightly higher.

How loud is it, and can I quiet it down?

The manufacturer describes a free-revving stainless sound that sharpens on track, plus a sharp bark when VTEC engages the high cam. No decibel figure is published. An inner silencer is offered separately for occasions when you need less volume, such as noise-limited events.

What are the pipe sizes?

The main pipe is 60mm in diameter with a 1.2mm SUS304 wall, the silencer body is 130mm across with a 1.0mm wall, and the titanium dolphin tail is 75mm. The manufacturer designs the system specifically for this car, with thin flanges to save weight.

Is the 60RR a known fit on US-market EK Civics?

No. The system is built for the Japanese-market EK9 Civic Type R with the B16B engine, and no US-market application has been published. Contact us with your VIN or car details before buying, and we will ask the US distributor to confirm whether the system can be fitted.

Description

J’s Racing R304 60RR Exhaust for EK9 Honda Civic Type R

J’s Racing’s R304 60RR Exhaust for EK9 Civic Type R track cars is the RR version of the SUS Exhaust Plus, which J’s Racing describes as a special muffler born to win on the circuit. It shares the semi-titanium recipe of the street 60RS, with hand TIG-welded SUS304 stainless and a titanium cut-bend dolphin tail borrowed from the FX-PRO line, but the RR is laid out to cut exhaust resistance to the minimum in pursuit of output and response. The B16B gains a 60mm main pipe and a 130mm silencer body. Buy it for a dedicated circuit EK9; for road use the 60RS is the sensible choice.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
