Is the inner silencer included?

No. The R304 50RS Exhaust for GK5 cars ships without an inner silencer. The manufacturer sells one separately for owners who want to bring the volume down, and it can be added later if the car ends up spending more time on the street than on the circuit.

Does the exhaust clear the rear bumper on later cars?

Not on every car. The manufacturer notes that late-model Fits built from June 2017 see contact with the RS rear bumper, which has to be modified. The Mugen rear under spoiler is supported as well, but clearance there is tight and individual cars can differ, so a test fit is sensible.

How does the R304 50RS Exhaust for GK5 sound?

The manufacturer describes a smooth, high-pitched stainless tone as the engine climbs toward the redline and a sharper edge at circuit speeds. On VTEC engines there is a distinct crack in the note at the moment the high cam engages. No decibel figures are published for this exhaust.

Is the whole exhaust made of titanium?

No. Only the 75mm dolphin tail is titanium. The 50mm main pipe and the 130mm silencer are SUS304 stainless steel, 1.2mm and 1.0mm thick, joined with hand TIG welds. That mix is why the manufacturer calls it a semi-titanium exhaust.

Will it fit a GK3 Fit as well as the GK5?

Yes. The exhaust was developed for the GK5 Fit RS, and the manufacturer later added the 1.3 liter GK3 to its fitment. Four-wheel-drive versions are not listed. The rear bumper and under spoiler clearance notes above apply to every car this exhaust fits.

Description

J’s Racing R304 50RS Exhaust for GK5 Honda Fit

J’s Racing’s R304 50RS Exhaust for GK5 Fits pairs a hand TIG-welded SUS304 stainless body with a titanium tail, the semi-titanium layout the Osaka tuner sells as its SUS Exhaust Plus. J’s Racing kept its signature full straight-through structure and sized the main pipe at 50mm, so the car pulls harder in the mid and upper rev range without giving up low-speed drive, and the added torque sharpens throttle response around town. It suits a GK5 that sees both daily miles and track days; an owner who wants a near-silent commuter should look elsewhere.

Construction

Every joint is TIG welded by hand and each exhaust is finished individually by a craftsman. Flanges are thinned as far as practical to save weight for sports driving. The titanium tip copies the cut-bend dolphin tail of the FX-PRO full titanium exhaust, with its heat coloring applied by hand.

Features

Full straight-through structure for low exhaust resistance
Main pipe sized for mid and high rpm while keeping low-speed response
Titanium cut-bend dolphin tail shared with the FX-PRO design
Hand TIG welding on every joint
Ultra-thin flanges to keep weight down

Hand-applied tail coloring varies from the photos, and chemical cleaners can change it
Also listed for this car: the J’s Racing Stainless Race Pipe for the GK5 Honda Fit
Made to order in Japan; J’s Racing USA ships it and Bulletproof Automotive confirms availability and lead time once your order is in

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
