J’s Racing’s 70mm Race Pipe for AP1 and AP2 S2000s is the large-bore version of the Osaka tuner’s stainless race pipe, built for engines that have outgrown stock breathing. Opening the main pipe to 70mm cuts exhaust resistance substantially, and J’s Racing aims it squarely at S2000s with high cams, raised compression or extra displacement, naming the TODA Racing capacity-up kit as an example. Matched with a 70mm main pipe exhaust such as the company’s 70RS models, it is meant to sharpen power and response at high rpm. On an otherwise stock engine, the 60mm pipe is the more fitting choice.

Construction

J’s Racing makes the pipe from SUS304 stainless steel for rust resistance and durability, and its US distributor lists the flanges as steel. It bolts in completely with the gasket and bolts supplied, and two O2 sensor bosses come fitted as standard so the factory sensor sits correctly on either chassis. Unlike the 60mm pipe, it has no provision for the factory heat shield.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
