J’s Racing’s R304 60RR Exhaust for EG6 Civic SiR circuit cars, sold in Japan as the SUS Exhaust Plus 60RR, is the output-first version of the Osaka tuner’s semi-titanium exhaust. Its SUS304 stainless main pipe and silencer are hand TIG welded, and it finishes in the titanium cut-bend dolphin tail from the FX-PRO range. The RR layout begins further forward in the exhaust than the RS, cutting exhaust resistance to the minimum in pursuit of power and response, and J’s Racing designed it specifically for racing. It suits a five-speed EG6 built to win on a circuit; for a road car, the 60RS version is the better match.

Construction

Every system is finished by hand by J’s Racing’s craftsmen, who work in 1.2mm SUS304 for the main pipe and 1.0mm SUS304 for the silencer. The flanges are made as thin as practical to strip out weight, which the company says sharpens the car in sports driving. At high revs the stainless pipe gives a clear, rising note, and the B16A cracks audibly as VTEC changes to the high cam.
