J’s Racing’s 6-Pot Caliper Kit for AP1 and AP2 S2000s was developed on the clock: the Osaka shop ran pad compounds and rotor diameters through repeated time attack sessions before settling on a forged aluminum six-piston caliper over a 324mm x 30mm ventilated disc. Every component is manufactured in Japan, and J’s Racing reports the kit has completed more than ten endurance races with only consumables replaced and no overhaul. That record is the real case for it on a heavily tracked roadster. It does demand 17-inch or larger wheels, so a car kept on 16s, or one that never sees a circuit, is better served by a pad change.

Construction

The forged aluminum calipers were picked for low weight, rigidity and heat resistance, and J’s Racing credits them with a linear pedal feel. Each disc is ventilated, blended with a special carbon content and slotted to a pattern drawn from race experience, then carried on a hard anodized aluminum floating bell. Dedicated offset and caliper brackets locate the package.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
