Is the inner silencer included with the FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for DC5 cars?

No. The FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for DC5 cars ships without the inner silencer, which is an optional extra sold separately. It fits inside the system to bring the volume down, so add it to the same order if you think you will want a quieter setting. The FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for DC5 cars runs louder than stock without it.

How much lighter is it than the stock muffler?

The manufacturer states a saving of more than 50 percent against the stock muffler, helped by 1mm titanium pipe. No exact weight is published, and the North American distributor notes that the saving varies by model, so treat the percentage as a guide.

How does the 60RS compare with the 70RR?

The 60RS uses a 60mm main pipe and is aimed at the street and occasional sports driving, with gains across the rev range. The 70RR moves to a 70mm main pipe, starts further forward in the exhaust and is aimed at extracting maximum output from the VTEC engine on a dedicated circuit car.

What does it sound like?

The manufacturer describes a dry VTEC note that is typical of full titanium, produced by the straight-through silencer and thin-wall pipe. No decibel figure is published for this model, and the optional inner silencer is the way to lower the volume when needed.

Which cars is it designed for?

The manufacturer builds it for the DC5 Integra Type R, sold from 2001 to 2006 with the K20A engine, and its US distributor catalogues it under the Acura RSX. The Japanese catalogue does not mention the RSX Type S, so ask Bulletproof Automotive to confirm fitment on an RSX before you order.

Description

J’s Racing FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for DC5 Honda Integra Type R and Acura RSX

J’s Racing’s FX-PRO 60RS Exhaust for DC5 Integra Type R and RSX owners is the street-focused member of the Osaka tuner’s redesigned full titanium range. It keeps the straight-through layout J’s Racing uses to cut back pressure, gains a larger silencer, and is built from 1mm titanium pipe that J’s says makes it more than 50 percent lighter than the stock muffler. The 60mm main pipe targets torque and power across the whole rev range rather than only at the top. It suits a K20A owner who drives on the street and tracks the car; for a quiet cruiser, budget for the inner silencer.

Construction

Every titanium section is shaped on a three-dimensional bender, which keeps the bends smooth and the flow path low in resistance. The dolphin tail is made with a cut process for a sharper look, and its color is applied by hand, so each tip differs slightly from the photos.

Features

1mm titanium pipe throughout for a large weight saving
60mm main pipe sized for street drivability and gains across the range
Enlarged straight-through silencer for minimal back pressure
Cut dolphin tail with hand-applied color
Accepts an optional inner silencer, sold separately, to lower the volume

Applications

Acura RSX Type S: DC5 | 2002-2006 | 2.0L K20A2
Honda Integra Type R: DC5 | 2001-2006 | 2.0L K20A

Notes

The volume-reducing inner silencer is optional and sold separately
The weight saving is J’s Racing’s comparison with the stock muffler, and J’s Racing North America notes that it varies by model
J’s Racing USA catalogues this exhaust under the Acura RSX, while J’s Racing Japan builds it for the DC5 Integra Type R
Also available: the FX-PRO 70RR Exhaust for the DC5 Integra Type R and RSX and the SUS Exhaust 60RS for the DC5 Integra Type R and RSX
Made to order in Japan; Bulletproof Automotive confirms the lead time with J’s Racing USA after you order

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
