Is the R304 60RS Exhaust for EK9 cars full titanium?

No. The R304 60RS Exhaust for EK9 cars is semi-titanium. The main pipe and silencer are SUS304 stainless, with a 1.2mm main pipe wall and 1.0mm silencer wall, and only the cut-bend dolphin tail is titanium. That combination keeps the price well below the full titanium FX-PRO while sharing its tail design.

What does it sound like?

The manufacturer describes a smooth, rising high note typical of stainless steel as the engine revs out, turning sharper on a circuit. On a VTEC engine there is a distinct crack as the high cam engages. An inner silencer, sold separately, can be fitted when you need it quieter.

Will it make the car less pleasant to drive on the street?

No. The 60mm main pipe is sized to favor mid and upper revs without sacrificing low-speed response, and the manufacturer says the added torque improves throttle response in town. The 60RS is the road-oriented version of this stainless range, so it suits a Type R driven regularly.

Does this system bolt onto a US-model Civic?

No, the listing covers only the JDM EK9. The manufacturer designs the system specifically for the Japanese-market Civic Type R with the B16B, and US-model EK Civics are not part of that design brief. Share your car details and we will raise fitment with the US distributor before you order.

Why might there be small marks on the pipe?

Thin jig marks can remain from the manufacturing process, and the manufacturer notes this openly. They are cosmetic and do not affect performance. The tail coloring is also applied by hand, so its pattern will differ slightly from the photos on this page.

Description

J’s Racing R304 60RS Exhaust for EK9 Honda Civic Type R

J’s Racing’s R304 60RS Exhaust for EK9 Civic Type R owners is the SUS Exhaust Plus 60RS, a semi-titanium muffler that keeps J’s Racing’s full straight-through design and pairs SUS304 stainless with a titanium tail. The main pipe and silencer are high-grade SUS304, every weld is TIG welded by hand, and the cut-bend titanium dolphin tail is the same style used on the FX-PRO. With a 60mm main pipe, the 60RS favors mid and upper revs without giving up the bottom end, and the extra torque sharpens throttle response around town. It suits the EK9 owner who wants a crafted stainless system at well under the price of full titanium.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
