What does the Reclining Seat Rail for DC2 mount?

The Spoon reclining bucket seat, part ALL-81200-001, sold separately. Spoon lists this rail in the seat catalogue entry under Integra DC and DB, so one part number per side covers the three-door DC2 and the four-door DB8 Type R. It is not a universal bracket for other seats.

Does it fit the US Acura Integra?

Yes. Go Tuning, the sole US distributor for Spoon, sells the rail for the DC2 Integra from 1994 to 2001. Spoon registers the Japanese Integra Type R in its E and GF series, and the US car is the same DC2 chassis, so Acura owners order the same Left or Right part.

Can I fit the Spoon carbon bucket seat with this rail?

No. Both the Spoon price list and Go Tuning mark the Reclining Seat Rail for DC2 as unable to use the side bracket that adapts Spoon rails to the carbon bucket seat. Choose this rail only if the reclining bucket seat is the seat going into the car.

No. Left and Right are separate options, each a rail for one seat position at a listed 8.5 kg. A DC2 with Spoon seats on both sides needs one of each, and a car keeping the factory passenger seat needs only the side that carries the Spoon seat.

Does the rail suit the race base DC2?

Yes. Spoon includes the GF-DC2 Type R race base car in the fitment for this rail, alongside the standard Type R in both the E and GF series. Owners of that competition-oriented version order the same part number as a standard Type R, and no separate race base rail is listed.

Description

Spoon Sports Reclining Seat Rail for DC2 / DB8 Honda Integra

The Spoon Sports Reclining Seat Rail for DC2 / DB8 Honda Integra carries Spoon’s reclining bucket seat in the B18C Integra Type R, three-door or four-door, and in the US Acura Integra of the same generation. The DC2 is one of the cars Spoon still supports with new parts decades after it left production, and the seat suits the way many of these cars are now used, as treasured road cars with the odd circuit day: it holds the shoulders to keep the eye line steady while the driver feels the car move through the waist. Spoon registers the rail for both Type R series, the E-DB8 and E-DC2 from October 1995 and the GF series from January 1998, the race base DC2 included. One rail at a listed 8.5 kg serves one seat. Unlike Spoon’s later K20A rails, this one cannot take the side bracket for the carbon bucket seat, so buy it for the reclining seat alone.

About Spoon Sports

Spoon Sports was founded in 1988 in Suginami, Tokyo, by Tatsuru Ichishima, a former Honda race car tester and driver, with backing from Honda and Mugen. The company has raced Hondas from its first season, when Ichishima’s own Civic became the first Civic to enter the Japan Touring Car Championship, and its Type One workshop, opened in 2001, services and tunes the cars its parts are developed on. Spoon builds engine, drivetrain, exhaust, chassis and aero parts for Honda models and proves them on circuits and in endurance racing, including the 25 Hours of Thunderhill.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
