Which cars does the Spring Kit for Ferrari 488 GTB cover?

RYFT names the Spring Kit for Ferrari 488 GTB, 488 Pista and F8 Tributo coupes, and none of the matching Spider models appears in that list. The open cars carry a retractable hard top and different weight. Bulletproof Automotive confirms fitment details with RYFT before ordering for a Spider.

Is the same kit really used on the 488 and the F8 Tributo?

Yes. RYFT shows part number 25-70-6001 on its 488 GTB and 488 Pista page and again on its F8 Tributo page, at the same price. The F8 Tributo is the successor to the 488, carries project code F142MFL and keeps a 3.9 liter twin-turbo V8.

Can the ride height be adjusted after installation?

Yes. RYFT includes adjustable ride height among the features of the kit, so the installer can set the stance for the roads and driveways the car actually sees. Any change in height should be followed by an alignment so the camber and toe settings return to specification.

What is the RYFT spring hardware made from?

According to RYFT dealer listings, the adjuster hardware is CNC machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum to save mass, while the springs are cold wound from heat-treated high-carbon steel and then stress relieved. RYFT pairs that construction with rates chosen for each application.

Who should fit the kit on a 488 or F8?

A Ferrari specialist or a suspension shop with a modern alignment rig. The job means removing each corner of a car with expensive forged wheels and adaptive dampers, setting the ride height evenly side to side and finishing with a full alignment before the car is driven hard.

Description

RYFT Performance Spring Kit for Ferrari 488 GTB / 488 Pista / F8 Tributo

RYFT’s spring kit for Ferrari 488 GTB, 488 Pista and F8 Tributo coupes covers three berlinettas that share the twin-turbo 3.9 liter V8 lineage, and RYFT lists the same part number on both its 488 and F8 pages. That makes it an easy choice to keep through a change of car within the family. It suits an owner who wants a lower stance on a car already set up firmly from the factory.

Development

The 488 GTB of 2016 brought turbocharging back to Ferrari’s mid-engine V8, the Pista sharpened it with magnetorheological suspension tuned around Side Slip Angle Control, and the F8 Tributo refined the package again under project code F142MFL. RYFT developed the kit with Moton Suspension, gives it application specific rates, and builds it to handle racing loads while staying usable on the street.

Features

Shared RYFT part number across 488 GTB, 488 Pista and F8 Tributo
Application specific spring rates from the RYFT and Moton program
Height adjustment built into the kit
Springs cold wound from heat-treated high-carbon steel, per RYFT dealers
CNC machined billet 7075-T6 aluminum hardware

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
