Where do the Window Diffusers for Ferrari 296 GTB sit on the car?

RYFT lists the Window Diffusers for Ferrari 296 GTB as a set of carbon pieces for the window area of the coupe. Because the product name is the main description, Bulletproof Automotive confirms fitment details with RYFT before ordering, including exactly which window edges the set covers, and shares the RYFT product photos with the buyer.

Are the window diffusers listed for the 296 GTS?

No. RYFT titles them for the 296 GTB, and the GTS has a two piece retractable hard top that folds over the front of the engine, so the roof and window area differs from the coupe. GTS owners should treat this set as a coupe part unless RYFT states otherwise.

Is the carbon on the window diffusers exposed?

Yes. RYFT presents the set in exposed carbon fiber with the one by one weave it lists for all of its 296 parts. Sitting at eye level next to the glass, the weave is easy to see up close, while from a distance the pieces read as a dark accent around the cabin.

How should carbon trim next to the glass be cleaned?

Spray glass cleaner onto the towel rather than the window, so overspray does not dry on the carbon, and choose an ammonia free product. Wash the trim itself with a pH neutral shampoo and a soft microfiber, and a ceramic coating will help water bead off both the glass edge and the clear finish.

Which RYFT parts go well with the window diffusers?

The RYFT mirror covers sit just ahead of the side glass and make the obvious partner, since both put carbon at shoulder height. Owners who started with the lower pieces, such as the side skirts and front splitter, usually add the window diffusers and mirrors last to finish the side view from top to bottom.

Description

RYFT Carbon Fiber Window Diffusers for Ferrari 296 GTB

RYFT’s carbon fiber window diffusers for Ferrari 296 GTB cars add carbon to the glasshouse, the part of the 296 that Ferrari designed most carefully around its 1960s references. The windscreen wraps around like a visor into the side glass, and at the rear that theme runs into a flying buttress that separates the roof from the engine cover. We suggest these to owners who have already done the lower body in carbon and want a detail at eye level as well.

Design

Manzoni’s team linked the visor-style screen and the side windows to a flying buttress, and Ferrari added a visor-like spoiler on the roof that marks the break between the cabin and the rear bonnet. Those surfaces are where the 296 looks most like the 250 LM from the side. RYFT names this part window diffusers and shapes it, like the rest of its 296 range, to follow the factory curves in 1×1 weave carbon instead of adding sharp new edges.

Adds carbon at eye level around the 296 glasshouse

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
