The DC2 earned its reputation through balance more than outright grip. It turns in eagerly, the rear helps it rotate, and a good driver can steer it on the throttle and brakes as much as with the wheel. That balance is also easy to ruin. A lot of these cars are now on aftermarket setups with mismatched springs and dampers that leave the rear snappy and the front vague. The Nitron DC2 Integra Type R NTR-R1 coilover kit puts that right. Springs and valving are specified together, so the rear still helps the car turn, but it does so progressively instead of all at once. A single adjuster at each corner sets bump and rebound together, which makes tuning that balance quick whether you’re on a back road or in a track-day paddock. The kit fits both the Acura and Honda versions of the car. The rear follows the OEM suspension layout, so the Nitron Integra Type R NTR-R1 bolts into the factory double wishbone mounting points at both ends.

Unique Technology

Nitron developed the NTR-R1 from its race program, and much of its internal hardware is shared with the NTR-R3, Nitron’s international motorsport damper. Without a remote canister, each NTR-R1 unit is compact enough to bolt into the DC2’s factory locations with no hoses to route. The internals have very little friction, so the damper responds as soon as the wheel starts to move. That keeps the tires working over patched and rippled tarmac, which is exactly where a car this sensitive to balance needs grip from all four corners. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
