GiroDisc’s Rear Rotors for McLaren 620R complete a GiroDisc floating iron setup on the rear axle of the car. Each assembly pairs a 6061-T6 aluminum hat with a ring cast from GiroDisc’s own high-carbon iron, poured in the USA and machined in Bellingham, Washington. The rotors are made in left and right versions so the curved vanes always pump air outward through the disc. Running GiroDisc at both ends gives a 620R consistent feel and wear characteristics, which makes these the logical partner to the front set.

Fitment and Installation

Each rotor is labeled for its side and must be fitted in that position, or the vanes work against the airflow. The cap screws holding the drive pins may look loose; that is intentional, since the ring has to float, and they are never tightened beyond 60 in-lb (7 Nm). Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
