How does the Flex Fuel Power Package NIS-006 differ from the aluminum version?

The Flex Fuel Power Package NIS-006 carries the same Accessport, fuel pump and CAN Gateway parts as the aluminum flex package. The difference is the intake: this kit uses the Redline Carbon Fiber Big SF Intake with hand-laid carbon tubing, while the other uses powdercoated aluminum. Airflow purpose and maps are shared, so finish and budget decide it.

Is it legal to drive in California?

No. COBB states this package is not legal for sale or use in California on any emission controlled motor vehicle while testing with the California Air Resources Board is pending. Outside California, COBB cites SEMA Garage Emissions Certification SC-COB01-0086 under the EPA Anti-Tampering Policy for on-street sale.

Do I need a custom tune to use E85?

Not necessarily. COBB lists a Stage 1+ Big SF Flex Fuel Off The Shelf map for the 005 and 006 Accessports that matches this hardware. A COBB Protuner can instead build a custom map for cars with additional modifications or for the fuel sold locally.

What items ship in the kit?

Seven COBB products are included: the AP3-NIS-006 Accessport V3 with TCM flashing, the Redline Carbon Fiber Big SF Intake System, a High Flow Fuel Pump Kit, the CAN Gateway Module, its Harness and Bracket Kit, the CAN Gateway Flex Fuel Kit and a COBB Vehicle Badge.

Which GT-R models are covered?

COBB confirms USDM R35 GT-R cars from 2009 through 2014, JDM cars from 2008 through 2013, and ADM, East Asia, EDM, Gulf Spec and South Africa cars from 2009 through 2013, plus Vspec and Vspec Race versions from 2009 and 2010. Later GT-R models use the NIS-007 and NIS-008 packages.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 1+ Redline Carbon Fiber CAN Flex Fuel Power Package NIS-006 with TCM Flashing for R35 Nissan GT-R

COBB Tuning’s Flex Fuel Power Package NIS-006 combines hand-laid Redline carbon fiber induction with ethanol capability for the 2009-2014 R35 GT-R, all controlled by the AP3-NIS-006 Accessport V3, which flashes the transmission control module alongside the engine. The CAN Gateway reports ethanol content and a High Flow Fuel Pump Kit keeps supply in step with E85. It suits an owner who wants carbon and ethanol without rail pressure monitoring; if your tuner wants live pressure data, buy the fuel pressure Redline package.

Carbon Induction and Ethanol

The Redline tubing widens to 3 inches so the factory MAF sensors read lower for the same airflow. In the Flex Fuel Power Package NIS-006, the Gateway passes ethanol content digitally, so no factory 0-5V input is lost, and the factory rails and regulator stay in service.

Features

Redline Big SF tubing in hand-laid carbon fiber
3-ply steel reinforced silicone couplers with black e-coated 304 stainless clamps
No cutting, trimming or bumper removal needed for the intake
Accessport enhances launch control and runs factory clutch gear learning
Made in the USA

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. Please review the full Terms & Conditions here.

BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
