Is the Redline Black FMIC Package a good fit for a stock truck?

Yes. The Redline Black FMIC Package delivers the full COBB Stage 2 hardware list in one order for a stock 2017-2019 F-150 3.5L EcoBoost: the Accessport V3 with TCM Flashing, the Redline carbon intake and the black front mount intercooler, along with a COBB vehicle badge.

How does this compare with the silver version?

The only change is the intercooler finish. This package uses the black 7F2500-BK, while the silver package uses 7F2500-SL. Both carry the same Redline carbon intake, the same Accessport V3 with TCM and the same CARB Executive Orders, so the choice comes down to how visible you want the core.

Does the intercooler require cutting?

Yes, a little. COBB notes minor trimming on the back side of the grille to clear the larger front mount core. The factory Adaptive Cruise Control bracket is kept with the stock bumper. Owners who want no cutting at all can choose the factory location Redline package instead.

Is this package emissions legal in all states?

Yes. COBB lists California Air Resources Board Executive Orders D-660-217 and D-660-245 for the package, which makes it legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states, including California, when installed according to the COBB application guide.

Why does the Accessport include TCM flashing?

The TCM version can reprogram the transmission control module as well as the engine computer. Its off-the-shelf transmission tunes alter shift points, firmness, skip shift behavior and torque limits to suit your driving style. COBB warns against installing it over software other than OEM or COBB files, which may cause ECU or TCU failure.

Description

COBB Tuning 3.5L Stage 2 Redline Black FMIC Package with TCM for P552 Ford F-150 (2017-2019)

COBB Tuning’s Redline Black FMIC Package is the darker take on Stage 2 for the 2017-2019 F-150 3.5L EcoBoost. A black front mount intercooler with a 24 inch wide, 14 inch tall, 3.5 inch thick core disappears behind the grille, and the Redline intake adds gloss 2×2 twill carbon fiber with black silicone couplers and black e-coated clamps. The Accessport V3 with TCM flashing calibrates engine and transmission together. CARB EO D-660-217 and D-660-245 cover it in all 50 states. Plan on minor grille trimming; if that is a dealbreaker, the factory location package needs none.

Design and Fitment

COBB sized this core for a large volume gain over the factory intercooler while keeping pressure drop minimal. Fitment calls for minor trimming on the back side of the grille, and the factory Adaptive Cruise Control bracket carries over when the stock bumper stays on. The intake side swaps the factory airbox cover for a bespoke carbon lid and the factory piping for 3 inch tubing.

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
