Nitron Front Adjustable Top Plates for X84 Renault Mégane RS R26 / R26.R

The factory strut top mounts on an R26 or R26.R are now close to twenty years old, and rubber that age no longer holds the strut where it was set. Nitron’s Mégane RS R26 Top Plates replace them with machined aluminum Front Adjustable Top Plates that locate the strut solidly and give you camber and caster adjustment, which the original mounts never offered. That matters on a front-drive car that does its steering, braking, and driving through the front tires, because a correct alignment decides how much grip is available on turn-in and how evenly the tires wear. The plates are sold as a pair for the front, they fit the X84 Renault Mégane RS R26 and R26.R, and they are designed for Nitron coilovers. A professional alignment is required after installation.

Rubber-Free Construction

Rubber bushings take the edge off noise, and they also soak up steering and braking load, which is the compliance you give up here. With a solid plate the strut keeps its set position, and the steering reads more clearly in return for a little more road noise.

Machined for Nitron Coilovers

Cut from aluminum and anodized titanium grey, the plate is built to the Nitron damper mount. Another brand’s damper may need modification before it sits correctly, so these are intended for use with Nitron coilovers.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
