Moton’s 1-Way Coilovers for EVO 9 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (CT9A) are the simplest MOTON damper for the EVO 9: a single rebound adjuster per corner, threaded ride height and springs supplied. The EVO 9 added MIVEC variable valve timing to the 4G63 and was the last Lancer Evolution on the CT9A chassis, and MOTON gives it its own 1-way set. Leaving compression to MOTON’s valving keeps the EVO 9 kit simple: rebound sets how the car recovers, and the threaded bodies set its stance. It suits an EVO 9 that is driven on the road and taken to the occasional track day.

Design and Performance

Rebound sets how quickly each damper extends after compressing, which decides how the EVO 9 settles after crests and kerbs. The 1-Way gives one adjuster per corner for exactly that and leaves compression to MOTON’s valving, the right amount of adjustment for a road car with occasional track days.
