The Nitron Mégane RS 265 NTR-R3 Coilover Kit gives the X95 Mégane RS 250 and RS 265 something the factory dampers never offered, which is separate control over slow body movement and fast wheel movement. A car like this takes kerbs, rippled corner exits, and long loaded turns in the same lap, and a damper with one circuit has to compromise between them. Nitron’s passive NTR-R3 splits compression and rebound into independent high speed and low speed adjustments, so the body can be held firmly through a corner while the wheel still follows a sharp edge. Hose-connected reservoirs sit at the front and rear, the rear is specified as a coilover that combines spring and damper in one unit, and adjustable spring perches set the ride height. Race springs and adjustable top plates are included in the kit. It is built for the driver who has already pushed an RS on track or a rough back road and wants to tune the car rather than live with a fixed setting.

Specialized Bi-Axis Hose Fittings

A hose-fed reservoir is only as good as its routing, and the Mégane RS leaves little spare room around the strut towers and the rear arches. Nitron’s Bi-Axis fittings swivel through 720 degrees on two axes, so each hose can leave its damper facing the direction the routing needs instead of the direction the fitting was cast. That keeps the lines clear of the tire, the spring, and the moving suspension parts, and spares them the sharp bends that a fixed fitting forces.

Unique Technology

Inside each Nitron NTR-R3, a monotube body is charged with nitrogen so the oil stays free of foam, which is what keeps damping force predictable once the dampers are hot. The four-way adjustment treats each stroke as two events, slow movements such as roll, dive, and squat, and fast movements such as kerbs and sharp bumps. Each gets its own compression and rebound setting. Valving is set for the weight and spring rates of the Mégane RS, and the remote reservoir carries the gas charge away from the damper body.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
