Will it work on a 2025 M340i or M440i?

Yes, but expect less change. Active Autowerke guarantees fit on all G-series M340i and M440i models and notes that 2025 and newer cars carry a particulate filter in the factory downpipe. On those cars the company says the increase in sound level is small, so earlier cars gain the most.

Active Autowerke’s Valved Axle-Back Exhaust for G20 BMW M340i and G22 / G23 / G26 M440i gives the B58 M Performance cars the voice their badge suggests, with a new rear section and quad tips in place of a hushed factory setup. It is made in the USA from 304 stainless, test-fitted on Active Autowerke’s own M340i / M440i fixture, and it reuses the actuator from the BMW valve, so stock valve control carries on. Installation means cutting the factory mid-pipe, and every connecting part is in the box. The strongest case is a car built before the 2025 model year; on newer cars, with a particulate filter in the factory downpipe, the gain in volume is small.

Active Autowerke was founded in Miami, Florida in 1981 by brothers Mike and Karl Hugh as a BMW service shop, and turned to performance in late 1995 when Karl, a University of Miami engineering graduate, led its first M3 and 325i turbo kits. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
