Verus Engineering’s Bottom Mount UCW Rear Wing Kit for C8 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible brings the UCW track wing to the open car, on machined mounts and bottom supports made for the convertible trunk lid. Verus rates the pre-preg carbon element to generate and withstand more than 500 lb of downforce, and shaped its V1X-derived airfoil with the ANSYS adjoint solver before wind tunnel testing. It belongs on a convertible that already wears a front splitter and sees a circuit; for a weekend cruiser it is a lot of wing to carry.

Convertible Mounting

Verus kept the element, uprights and endplates of its coupe kit and redesigned the parts that meet the body. Two trunk mounts spread across a wide section of the lid, and convertible-specific supports clamp it from beneath for strength and lower drag. The uprights sit where the airflow is already disturbed.

Verus Engineering designs aerodynamic and performance parts in Indianapolis, Indiana. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
