Which aftermarket rails does the Flex Fuel Kit for R35 fit?

This version of the T1 Flex Fuel Kit for R35 suits aftermarket rails with 6AN ORB or 8AN ORB inlets, and the inlet size is chosen when ordering. Cars still on the factory rails need the stock rail version of the kit instead, which includes an adapter that converts the factory inlet to AN threads.

Does the GT1R flex fuel kit require a tune?

Yes. The kit delivers the ethanol content signal to the factory ECU, but the calibration is what adjusts fueling and timing as the blend changes. Cobb and EcuTek both support the input and display the reading, so plan the flex fuel calibration with the tuner before installing the hardware on the car.

Why is the ethanol sensor on the pressure side?

On the pressure side, fuel is always moving toward the injectors, so the sensor sees a steady stream. In a return line, flow can fall away when the pumps approach their limit, which makes readings less consistent exactly when the engine is working hardest. Moving the sensor was one of the main changes T1 Race Development made for generation two.

Is an ethanol content gauge included with the kit?

No. T1 Race Development leaves the display out because Cobb and EcuTek both let the driver view ethanol content through their own tools. The kit supplies the sensor and mount, the converter box, the plug-and-play harness and Redhorse ethanol-compatible plumbing.

Will the aftermarket rail kit fit every R35 model year?

Yes. The second generation harness is plug-and-play for every R35 Nissan GT-R, so the same kit suits early and late cars, and the sensor plumbing joins the 6AN ORB or 8AN ORB inlets of the aftermarket rails. Fuel system work still calls for a qualified technician.

Description

T1 Race Development GT1R Gen 2 Flex Fuel Kit for R35 Nissan GT-R with Aftermarket Fuel Rails

T1 Race Development’s GT1R Gen 2 Flex Fuel Kit for R35 Nissan GT-R with Aftermarket Fuel Rails is the version for cars that have already moved past the factory rails, plumbing the ethanol sensor into 6AN ORB or 8AN ORB rail inlets. A GT-R on upgraded rails is usually chasing serious ethanol power, where a few points of blend either way change how much fuel and timing the engine will take, and the kit reports the real figure to the ECU tank after tank.

Design and Performance

Generation two moved the sensor to the pressure side of the system, where fuel always flows toward the injectors, so readings stay steady even when return flow dwindles as the pumps approach capacity. A converter box turns the sensor’s digital signal into the analog input the factory ECU reads, and the plug-and-play harness is built by Race Spec from Mil-Spec Tefzel wire, Raychem DR-25 heat shrink and new connectors, for every R35 model year.

Ethanol sensor on the pressure side for consistent readings near pump capacity
Plumbed for 6AN ORB or 8AN ORB aftermarket rail inlets
Plug-and-play harness for every R35 model year

About T1 Race Development

T1 Race Development was founded in Texas in 2005 by Tony Palo, whose 2000 Acura Integra GSR became the first eight-second front-wheel-drive street car before the shop turned its attention to the Nissan GT-R. T1 went on to become the first to exceed 230 mph in the half mile in a GT-R and the first to make 2,400 whp from the VR38DETT, and it now develops engines, drivetrain parts and complete builds for the R35 GT-R, Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
