Do the ADRO Carbon Air Intake Trims fit the 992.2 GT3 Touring?

Yes. ADRO lists the Carbon Air Intake Trims for all 992.2 GT3 trims, which covers the Touring Package car as well as the winged GT3. They are not listed for the earlier 992.1 GT3 or for the GT3 RS, whose front end is a different design.

Do the intake trims change the look or the aerodynamics of the GT3?

No. The pair follows the factory 992.2 GT3 intake trims line for line, so the shape of the front end stays exactly as Porsche designed it. Only the material changes, from the factory finish to gloss prepreg carbon fiber, so there is no aerodynamic effect to expect.

How do the intake trims install?

They are a direct replacement for the factory pieces. The original trims come off and the carbon trims go into the same positions. ADRO does not describe any cutting or modification, but professional fitting is recommended to protect the surrounding paint and bumper.

What is prepreg carbon fiber?

Prepreg is carbon cloth supplied already impregnated with resin at a controlled ratio and then cured, rather than wetted out by hand. The result is a tighter, more even weave and a more consistent part, which matters on trim this visible at the front of the car.

How long does it take to receive the intake trims?

The ADRO Carbon Air Intake Trims are made to order, and ADRO currently quotes a three month manufacturing lead time before shipping. Contact Bulletproof Automotive before ordering for an up to date estimate, especially when planning the trims around other bodywork.

Description

ADRO Prepreg Carbon Air Intake Trims for 992.2 Porsche 911 GT3

ADRO’s Prepreg Carbon Air Intake Trims for the 992.2 Porsche 911 GT3 keep the front end exactly as Porsche drew it and change only what it is made of. The pair follows the factory intake trims line for line, so nothing about the car’s face moves; the factory part simply gives way to gloss prepreg carbon fiber, laid up in South Korea to an ADRO design from California. It is the right choice for a GT3 owner who likes the car as Porsche finished it and wants the detail to hold up under close inspection. Anyone chasing more downforce or a sharper profile should look at the ADRO front lip instead, because these trims are a material change, not an aero one.

Construction

Prepreg carbon arrives with the resin already impregnated into the cloth at a controlled ratio, which is why the weave stays tight and even across a part this visible. A gloss clear finish sits over the top, so the pattern reads clearly from the front of the car rather than only up close.

About ADRO

Founded in 2020, Aerodynamic Development Race Optimization (ADRO) designs aerodynamic body kits for modern performance cars. The company was born from the shared passion for racing of its co-founders, CEO Dongwan Yoo and CTO Sean Yoon, who connected through a mutual friend in 2010 and bonded over their love for race cars. Over several years, they perfected their craft by creating custom body kits for KDMs as a hobby. As demand for their work grew, they established ADRO to expand their offerings. ADRO’s products are designed in California and manufactured in South Korea.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
