How many pieces come in the 296 GTB Side Skirts set?

It ships as two carbon fiber pieces, one for each side.

Are these the same side skirts as the ones in ZACOE's Soft Kit?

No. The Soft Kit skirts are sized for the factory-width body, while these are engineered for the Widebody Kit's expanded arch profile, so the two are not interchangeable.

What do the 296 GTB Side Skirts do aerodynamically?

They stabilize lateral airflow along the sills, reduce underbody turbulence, and create aerodynamic continuity between the front and rear modules of the kit.

Are these side skirts included in the full Widebody Kit?

Yes. They are part of the complete 17-piece Widebody Kit and are also offered separately here.

What are the 296 GTB Side Skirts made from?

They are carbon fiber, developed from 3D digital scanning and surface modeling of the 296 GTB for precise alignment.

Description

ZACOE Performance Carbon Side Skirts (widebody version) for F171 Ferrari 296 GTB

Widen the front and rear fenders on a 296 GTB and the section of body between them stays exactly where it was, which leaves the middle of the car looking pinched between two flared ends. ZACOE Performance’s 296 GTB Side Skirts (widebody version) are built to close that gap, a two-piece carbon fiber set, one skirt for each side, shaped to carry the line from the widened front arch through to the widened rear arch. They are widebody specific, engineered around the expanded arch profile of ZACOE’s Widebody Kit and not the factory-width body. Alongside the visual continuity, they do the same job any good skirt does, stabilizing lateral airflow along the sills and reducing underbody turbulence so the front and rear aero pieces work as one system. For owners building the full Widebody Kit, they are the piece that makes the new width look planned from front to back.

Built to Bridge the Widened Arches

The Soft Kit’s skirts are sized for the factory body. Once the Widebody Kit’s fenders push the arches outward, those skirts no longer line up with the car’s outline, so ZACOE engineered a separate pair for the widebody build. The shape follows the transition from the wider front fender to the wider rear fender instead of the factory sill line, which is why these two skirts are not interchangeable with the Soft Kit version.

Airflow Along the Whole Car

With a widebody car, air has farther to travel and more edges to catch on along the sides. The skirts manage that stretch by keeping lateral airflow from spilling under the car and by calming turbulence along the underbody, creating aerodynamic continuity between the front modules and the rear modules. It is a quiet part of the kit, but it connects the pieces on either end.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
