Wheel concavity is the first thing a wider rear end buys you, and it is the main reason owners go through a widebody build. ZACOE Performance’s 296 GTB Rear Fenders are a five-piece vented carbon fiber set that substantially widens the 296’s rear quarter profile, giving the car room for a wider, deeper-dished wheel and tire setup than the factory arches allow. Four of the pieces are the vented fenders themselves, two per side, and the fifth is the center rear lip spoiler piece from the Soft Kit, which finishes the rear of the car between them. Each fender has functional vent openings that let air evacuate from the arch, and the whole set is shaped to extend visually toward the spoiler so the rear reads as one piece. Installation means cutting and modifying the original rear panels, so it is a permanent change made by a professional shop.

Room for Deeper Wheels

Concavity is how deep the face of a wheel is dished, and a deeper dish needs the fender to clear the outer lip of the wheel at the offset that creates it. On a factory-width car the arch limits how far a wheel can be pushed outward, which caps how much concavity is possible. These fenders move that limit. ZACOE builds them for dramatically increased wheel concavity capacity, so a wider wheel and tire can sit properly in the arch with the lip of the wheel showing instead of tucked away behind sheet metal.

The Fifth Piece Ties It Together

The center rear lip spoiler piece carries over from the Soft Kit. Where the fenders stop at either side of the rear, this piece continues the line across the middle of the car, completing the silhouette that starts at the front fenders and runs through the side skirts. It is also why there is no separate rear wing for the Widebody Kit. The rear is finished by this center piece and the fenders around it instead.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
