Supersprint’s Slip-On Front Pipes for G20 / G21 BMW M340i are where its six-cylinder system begins, a matched right and left pair that carries the B58’s exhaust from the slip-on downpipe joints into the tunnel. Supersprint lists them as the stainless alternative to its front Sport Cats, and registers them for the M340i sedan and Touring and the M440i Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe, the USA models included. There is nothing in them but pipe, which makes this the lighter and less costly front section for a track day car. Anyone who wants the metallic Sport Cats at the front should buy those instead.

Supersprint has built exhaust systems in Mantova, Italy since 1955, designing and manufacturing in house rather than assembling bought-in parts. Piping is AISI 304 stainless at a nominal 1.5mm wall, mandrel bent and TIG or MIG welded to CNC machined stainless flanges 7mm to 12mm thick; AISI 310S and Inconel come out where thermal load is highest, and catalyst hardware comes from HJS. Every application is developed against a baseline measured on the AWD MAHA dynamometer in Mantova, which is why the catalogue is model specific rather than universal.
