Is the Boost Logic Street Intercooler for R35 a direct bolt-on?

Yes. The Street Intercooler for R35 uses the same vertical flow layout as the factory core, retains all stock ducting and brackets, and can use OEM-style intercooler piping. That means it installs in the factory location without fabrication, and owners can keep the stock pipes or add Boost Logic intercooler piping later as power goals grow.

How much power will the Street Intercooler support?

Boost Logic rates the Street Intercooler to flow enough air for more than 1,000 wheel horsepower on the R35 GT-R. The same intercooler was used on the Boost Logic record-setting GT-R during its 203.4 mph standing mile. Actual results depend on the turbos, fuel and tune on the car, so treat the rating as capacity rather than a gain.

What does the black heat dissipation coating option do?

It is an optional black coating Boost Logic applies to the intercooler, offered for $250 over the uncoated price. Boost Logic names it a heat dissipation coating but does not publish test figures for it, so choose it mainly on appearance and on the heat shedding the coating is intended to provide. Uncoated units have polished end tanks.

Why keep the factory vertical flow design?

Boost Logic kept the vertical flow direction of the factory intercooler to maintain a low pressure drop and a high airflow rate while fitting a larger core. It also lets the core sit in the stock location with the stock ducting and brackets, which keeps installation simple compared with intercoolers that change the flow layout.

Should I choose the Street or a race intercooler?

Choose the Street Intercooler for builds up to roughly 1,000 wheel horsepower that want a bolt-on core in the stock ducting. For higher power, Boost Logic builds a Race Intercooler and an Ultimate Race Intercooler rated past 2,000 wheel horsepower, which suit larger turbo kits. Bulletproof Automotive can help match the core to the build and its power target.

Description

Boost Logic Street Intercooler for R35 Nissan GT-R

Boost Logic’s Street Intercooler for R35 Nissan GT-R is a 1,000 hp-ready core that keeps the vertical flow layout of the factory unit, which Boost Logic uses to hold pressure drop low while moving more air than stock. It uses the largest core Boost Logic could fit inside the factory ducting, bolts in with the stock ducting and brackets, and works with OEM-style intercooler piping. Boost Logic hand-builds it in house with end tanks polished to a mirror finish, and ran the same intercooler on its GT-R during a 203.4 mph standing mile. It suits a street or event car up to about 1,000 wheel horsepower; builds aiming well past that are better served by the Boost Logic race intercoolers.

Design and Performance

Keeping the factory vertical flow direction lets the core drop into the stock location without new ducting or brackets, so the upgrade stays a true bolt-on. Boost Logic sized the core to the limit of the OEM ducting to raise cooling capacity and airflow over the factory part while keeping the low pressure drop of the original design.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
