How much power can the Boost Logic Ultimate Race Intercooler for R35 support?

Boost Logic rates the Ultimate Race Intercooler for R35 to handle more than 2,000 wheel horsepower. Its Garrett core and 3 inch Vanjen inlets and outlets are sized to remove airflow restriction and minimize lag at that level. The rating describes the capacity of the core, so the rest of the build still decides the power it makes.

Do I need to trim the bumper beam?

No. Boost Logic designed the Ultimate Race Intercooler to fit without trimming the bumper beam, which makes it easier to install than other intercoolers of its size. It keeps OEM fitment and clears all factory undertrays and wheel well plastics, so the front of the car goes back together as stock.

What are Vanjen inlets and outlets?

Vanjen is a clamp style connection that joins two machined ends with a clamp instead of pushing a silicone coupler over a pipe. Boost Logic uses 3 inch Vanjen inlets and outlets on this intercooler for a secure, leak free joint that will not blow off under high boost the way a silicone coupler can.

Is intercooler piping included?

Boost Logic does not list intercooler piping with the core in its description, and the connections are 3 inch Vanjen ends. Confirm the piping already on the car, or the piping needed, with Bulletproof Automotive before ordering so the intercooler and pipes arrive ready to connect without fabrication.

What is the heat dissipation coating option?

It is an optional coating Boost Logic offers for this intercooler at $225 over the uncoated price. Boost Logic does not publish test data for it, so it is a choice on appearance and intended heat shedding. Ask Bulletproof Automotive to add it when ordering, since the base listing covers the uncoated core.

Description

Boost Logic Ultimate Race Intercooler for R35 Nissan GT-R

Boost Logic’s Ultimate Race Intercooler for R35 Nissan GT-R is the redesigned version of its big R35 race core, now built around a Garrett core with 3-inch Vanjen inlets and outlets and rated by Boost Logic to handle more than 2,000 whp. The Vanjen clamp ends give a secure connection that will not blow off the way silicone couplers can, and the tight fin core gives a large surface area for consistent cooling. It clears all factory undertrays and wheel well plastics and needs no bumper beam trimming. It is built for high-boost race cars; a stock-turbo street car will not use its capacity.

Installation

Boost Logic designed the intercooler to arrive ready to install, without the fabrication and setup hours that other intercoolers of its size can need. No trimming of the bumper beam is required, and the core keeps OEM fitment against the factory undertrays and wheel well plastics.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
