Can I use the Boost Logic Race Intercooler for R35 with the factory piping?

Yes. Choose the 2.75 inch outlet, which matches the stock piping size, to run the Boost Logic Race Intercooler for R35 GT-R with the factory intercooler pipes. The 3 inch outlet suits the Boost Logic one-piece mandrel bent piping kits, which are sold separately in polished and black powder coat finishes.

How big is the Race Intercooler?

The core measures 14 inches tall, 22.5 inches wide and 4.5 inches thick, which Boost Logic describes as the largest intercooler on the market for the R35. That core volume is aimed at the charge temperatures of high-boost builds rather than at cars running factory turbochargers.

Is intercooler piping included with the Race Intercooler?

No. The Race Intercooler is sold as the intercooler core with its end tanks. Piping comes from the factory system through the 2.75 inch outlet, or from a Boost Logic 3 inch piping kit purchased separately, so choose the outlet size to match the piping plan for the car.

What does the black heat dissipation coating do?

The coating is a black finish Boost Logic offers to help the intercooler shed heat, and it gives the core a darker look behind the grille. It is an option at checkout for an additional cost, and the uncoated intercooler is otherwise the same part with the same core and end tanks.

Should I choose the Race Intercooler or the Street Intercooler?

Boost Logic built the Race Intercooler for high-boost, high-power applications, using the largest core it offers. Its Street Intercooler keeps the factory ducting and brackets as a direct replacement and still supports over 1,000 wheel horsepower, so it suits cars that want better cooling without the larger race core.

Description

Boost Logic Race Intercooler for R35 Nissan GT-R

Boost Logic’s Race Intercooler for R35 Nissan GT-R is a front-mount core measuring 14 inches tall, 22.5 inches wide and 4.5 inches thick, which Boost Logic describes as the largest intercooler on the market for the car, built for high-boost, high-horsepower builds. Lightweight aluminum end tanks carry the charge air, and the upper tank routes the outlet through a tailored chamber into a curved exit, which keeps the piping runs short and reduces the chance of a pipe blowing off in a hard-to-reach spot. Boost Logic designed it for high boost; a car on factory turbos is better served by its Street Intercooler, which keeps the factory ducting.

Design and Performance

The core uses Boost Logic custom tight-fin construction for the most cooling it can pack into the space. The intercooler works with the factory intercooler piping through the 2.75-inch outlet, or with Boost Logic one-piece mandrel-bent piping kits through the 3-inch outlet.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
