Nitron Suspension developed the 964 NTR-R1 coilover kit because factory torsion bar suspension on a car this old has nowhere left to give. Three decades of use settles the ride height, hardens the rubber mounts, and leaves no way to adjust compression or rebound short of pulling the whole assembly apart. Nitron built the NTR-R1 coilover kit to solve exactly that, bringing a modern adjustable coilover platform to a car whose suspension architecture predates coilover thinking almost entirely. Anyone who’s spent real time under a 964 knows it isn’t set up like the water-cooled 911s that followed. The front end uses a MacPherson strut carrying a coil spring, and Nitron’s kit replaces that spring and damper assembly with a fully adjustable coilover unit at each corner. The rear is where things get more particular. The 964 still relies on torsion bars working through a semi-trailing arm, and this kit is built around that OEM rear suspension type, converting the spring medium over to coilover while leaving the trailing arm geometry, factory mounting points, and alignment relationship exactly as Porsche designed them. Nothing about how the rear end locates the wheel gets changed, only how the spring rate and damping get controlled.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
