Moshammer Side Skirts for 992 Porsche 911

Moshammer Side Skirts are the part of a 992 nobody photographs and everybody notices. Significantly wider than the standard components, they carry the underbody outward, and a wider underbody is what produces the additional downforce as speed builds. Moshammer develops in Berlin and evaluates each component on road and on track, and this one is supplied with a TUV parts certificate (§19.3). The section follows the factory sill so closely that most people will read it as an option code rather than an aftermarket part, which is precisely the point of OEM+. Design and Proportion

Moshammer treats the sill as part of the car rather than as a place to add drama, so the profile grows outward while keeping the tension of the original line. On a 992 that restraint reads as authenticity: the eye registers a wider, lower body without finding a single edge that Porsche would not have drawn. It is a fusion of design and technology that flatters the car instead of shouting over it.

Aerodynamic Function

Because the skirts are significantly wider than the standard components, the underbody they define is wider too, and that larger working area is where the extra downforce comes from. Air that would otherwise spill under the doors is kept where it can do something useful, which shows up as stability rather than as a number on a chart. Road and track evaluation is part of how the part reaches production, not an afterthought once it does.

Engineering and Fitment

Installation uses the original screw points and clips, so no cutting or improvisation is involved and the factory sills can go back on if the car is ever returned to standard. How do they mount? At the original screw points and clips, using the supplied mounting material. Nothing is cut and no new fixing points are created.
Will they fit a Cabriolet or a Targa? Yes. They suit 992.1 and 992.2 Coupe, Cabriolet and Targa bodies in Carrera, T, S, 4S, GTS and GT3 Touring form.
Do they arrive ready to fit? They arrive in satin black with mounting material, which some owners run as delivered. Most have them painted to body colour first, since the finish work is easier off the car.
What does the TUV parts certificate cover? It is German documentation confirming the component was assessed for road use under §19.3. It is not required for registration in the United States, but it tells you how seriously the part was engineered.
Do they lower the car? No. They replace the sill panel and extend it outward rather than altering suspension height, so ride height is whatever your setup dictates.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do.
