Moshammer Carrera Side Skirts for 991 Porsche 911 Carrera

Moshammer Carrera Side Skirts were drawn for the wide body 991, the C4 cars whose hips already promise more than the factory sill delivers. Significantly wider than the standard component, they push the underbody outward, and that wider underbody translates directly into more downforce as speed builds. Moshammer engineers in Berlin to an OEM+ brief and documents the result with a TUV parts certificate (§19.3), which tells you how the part was developed rather than how it was styled. Installation uses the original screw points and clips, so nothing is cut and nothing is improvised. Delivered unpainted with mounting material and made to order in small batches, for owners who would rather refine a 991 than restyle it.

Design and Restraint

The wide body 991 is one of the better resolved shapes Porsche has built, and it does not need rescuing. These skirts respect that, adding width low down where the car is already broad so the proportions settle rather than change. From ten feet away the car simply looks more purposeful, and it takes a trained eye to work out why.

Aerodynamic Function

Because the skirts are significantly wider than the standard components, the underbody becomes wider too, and a wider underbody generates more downforce. Air is kept working beneath the car instead of spilling out from under the doors, which is felt as composure at speed rather than as a headline figure. It is a small aerodynamic gain of the honest kind, achieved by geometry rather than by decoration.

Engineering and Fitment

The set mounts at the original screw points and clips with the supplied mounting material, so no panel is cut and the car can be returned to standard. It arrives unpainted, which gives your painter full freedom over body colour, satin black or a contrast, and a TUV parts certificate (§19.3) documents the component to German road standards. Made to order in Berlin in small batches, each set is built rather than stocked.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will these fit a narrow body 991? No. This set is shaped for the wide body C4 cars, including Carrera 4, 4S, GTS 4, Targa and Cabriolet wide body models. A narrow body C2 car needs the version cut for that shell.
How are they installed? Using the original screw points and clips with the supplied mounting material, so the factory fixing locations do the work and nothing needs to be drilled or cut.
Do they come painted? No. They are delivered unpainted so the finish can be matched precisely to your car, which is easier and cleaner done before they go on.
What is the TUV parts certificate for? It is German documentation under §19.3 confirming the part was assessed for road use. It is not needed to register a car in the United States, but it is a reliable indicator of how the component was engineered.
Can they be removed later? Yes. Because they use the original screw points and clips, the factory sills can be refitted without new bodywork or repair.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do.
