The SOUL Performance 997 sport exhaust is a full catted system delivering a sophisticated increase in sound with no check engine lights. A proprietary X-pipe design, 3-inch piping, and quad race resonators encourage maximum power gains and an exhilarating increase in flat-six engine note and turbo wail. The system weighs approximately 14lbs less than the factory Porsche exhaust components (31lbs vs 45lbs factory). Direct bolt-on installation with instructions included. Development and Testing

SOUL wanted a design as aggressive as possible while minimizing drone, offering greater volume with a greater amount of pops and burbles on deceleration. Supporting high power was another consideration, necessitating 3-inch tubing. SOUL experimented with adding a mixing chamber to the X-pipe design; analysis in 3D CAD software showed a general increase in velocity downstream of the mixing chamber across a band of measured pressure and temperature levels. This produces optimal flow characteristics, reduced backpressure for higher HP, and enhances the sound quality of the exhaust system. Quad race resonators make a discernible difference in reducing drone while encouraging a more refined exhaust note.

Sound

The HJS catalysts flow extremely well, letting more turbo and flat-six sound through. Quad resonators add a refined tone and cut down on droning in the cabin. The volume level suits the owner looking for a sophisticated increase in sound: very aggressive on heavy throttle inputs while offering a mild, sporty presence during cruising.

Construction

Each system is made from mandrel-bent T304L 3-inch, 0.065-inch wall stainless steel tubing, straight-through race resonators with a full metal packing design for maximum durability, and laser-cut brackets for perfect fitment. Choose from several hand-finished tip options or reuse your factory tips. Mikalor Supra Heavy-Duty Clamps are included to securely hold the tips onto the system.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
